PHOTOS – Typhoon Lagoon wave pool drained for refurbishment

Typhoon Lagoon is currently closed for its annual refurbishment, and on a recent flight over the park we got an interesting look at the park’s wave pool.

One of the world’s largest surfing lagoons at approximately 109,000 square feet and containing nearly three million gallons of water, the wave pool is completely drained and work is underway on maintaining the surface and preparing it for the busy season ahead.

Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled to reopen to guests on March 18 2018.
